BIO

The Raygun all started when Xavier went up to Jason at a party and said "You there. Tight pants, good hair. Listen to my songs and make a band band with me" Jason then proceeded to do so. Later that week, after a three manned first jam chock full of potential but lacking certain Rockn'Roll elements, Xavier rode his bike to try and convince a good friend to remain the drummer of his fledgling new project. On the way, he got lost and asked the first stranger he saw for directions. Mike, lucky Xavier, was very courteous and offered to show Xavier a map of the town at his his nearby house. Not only was he courteous, he was also a talented guitar player currently in the employ of a local band along with his roommate Ben, the drummer of said band. After an exhaustive viewing of the town map and an excited musical discussion, it was agreed that Xavier would bring Mike a demo tape. And he did.

Days passed and Xavier and Jason, now without a drummer, tinkered and toyed with keyboards, hoping some magic would happen. Xavier then heard some of Jason's songs, which cemented his faith in the eventual creation of this elusive"rocknroll new wave post-whatever dance party band".

Then it all serendipitously happened. Jason called Xavier. Turns out he knew these boys Xavier had given his tape to. Turns out they'd rather liked it. Turns out they were all having a merry time at the boys' house. Xavier joined in the fun and made quick friends with all four present. One of the guests, Miss Jessica Hames, filled the living room with music and spearheaded the movement we have come to know as the Five Person Dance-Party to the sweet, tragic sound of Cyndi Lauper's "When You Were Mine".

After that night it was just hop skip and a lineup change until Callianne was tracked down and asked to join the hot new group who on their first jam, short a keyboard player and full of piss and vinegar, had rocked out some rather hot sounds. Once Callianne had joined the ranks, providing the group with a much needed Cute Girl, and some Killer Keyboard Skills, the music started pouring out. Two months later, The Raygun played its first show in a converted clothing store baring a striking resemblance to the inside of a spaceship, where the audience of gorgeous, well dressed, well groomed appearance makers ripped up the dance floor to an electric five song set. And things have kept getting better since.
